Application of Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator Flap(DIEP)in Breast Reconstruction
Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor among women all over the world,and the age of onset is gradually getting younger.With the prolongation of patients'survival period and the improvement of quality of life requirements,breast reconstruction has become the choice of many patients and plays a crucial role in breast malig-nant tumors.Breast reconstruction can give better appearance and symmetry to the breast,resulting in an enhance-ment of the cosmetic aspect of the breast.Deep inferior epigastric perforator flap(DIEP)is one of the most commonly used procedures for autologous tissue reconstruction surgery,and it is widely used because of its low injury,low com-plication rate,and fast recovery.This review summarizes the preoperative,intraoperative and postoperative aspects of the application of DIEP in breast reconstruction.
