Efficacy Analysis of Functional Nasal Endoscopic Surgery Combined with Triamcinolone Tamponade in the Treatment of Chronic Sinusitis
Objective To analyze and discuss the clinical effect of functional nasal endoscopic surgery combined with triamcinolone tamponade in patients with chronic sinusitis.Methods The clinical data of 62 patients with chronic si-nusitis who underwent surgery in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology,Xuzhou New Health Geriatric Hospital from July 2021 to December 2022 were retrospectively selected.They were divided into control group(n=30)and observa-tion group(n=32).All patients underwent functional nasal endoscopic surgery.On this basis,the control group was treated with normal saline dressing to fill the nasal cavity,while the observation group was treated with triamcinolone acetonide dressing.Clinical indicators,treatment effectiveness,postoperative complications,visual analog scale scores before and 6 months after surgery,semi-quantitative CT score(Lund-mackay Score)of chronic sinusitis,nasal out-come test-20 score,olfactic function and quality of life were compared between the two groups of patients.Results The effective rate of observation group after treatment was higher than that of control group,the difference was statisti-cally significant(P＜0.05).Visual analog scores and LMS scores in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in olfactory function between the two groups before surgery(P＞0.05),but the olfactory function in the observation group was better than that in the control group after surgery,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative and postoperative quality of life between the two groups of patients(both P＞0.05).The quality of life of the two groups after surgery were better than those before surgery,and the differences were statistically significant(both P＜0.05).Conclusion Functional nasal endoscopic surgery combined with triamcinolone tamponade has a better therapeutic effect on patients with chronic sinusitis,promoting the recovery of nasal mucosa,improving discomfort symptoms and olfactory function.
