Application of Aesthetic Suture Technique in Maxillofacial Trauma Plastic Surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of aesthetic suture technique in maxillofacial trauma surgery. Methods 62 patients with maxillofacial trauma plastic surgery admitted to Jianhu County People's Hospital from January 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects, and randomly divided into the control group(n=31,with routine de-bridement and suture technology)and the observation group(n=31,with cosmetic suture technology),and the clinical indicators and therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. The status of postoperative Scar was evaluated by the Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS),and the incidence of postoperative complications was compared. Results The opera-tion time of the observation group was(66.27±11.57)min,which was longer than that of the control group. The edema time, healing time and suture removal time were(4.10±0.81)d,(4.75±0.69)d and(5.52±1.10)d,which were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(t=3.143,11.879,4.761,9.950,all P<0.05).The total effective rate of 93.55%in the observation group was higher than that of 74.19%in the control group(93.55%vs 74.19%),and the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.292,P<0.05).Postoperative VSS scores of the observation group:color(1.17±0.27)points,thickness(1.02±0.22)points,softness(1.39±0.30)points and blood vessel distribution(0.98±0.22)points were all lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.787,4.347,2.970,5.048,all P<0.05).The complication rate of 6.45%in the observation group was lower than that of 29.03%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.415,P<0.05).Conclusion Aesthetic suture in maxillofacial trauma surgery takes a little longer time, but the wound recovery is faster, the healing quality is good, the scar is slight, and the risk of complications is low.
