Evaluation of the Application Effect of Gamma3 Intramedullary Nail in the Surgical Treatment of Intertrochanteric Fractures of the Femur
Objective To investigate the effect of Gamma3 intramedullary nail application in the surgical treatment of intertrochanteric fracture of the femur.Methods 82 patients with intertrochanteric fracture of the femur admitted to Danyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as research ob-jects.They were divided into the control group(n=41,anti-rotation type proximal femur intramedullary nail surgical treatment)and the observation group(n=41,Gamma3 intramedullary nail surgical treatment)by random number table method.The surgical treatment-related indexes,hip joint function and complications were compared between the two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in surgical time and total surgical blood loss between the two groups of patients(both P>0.05).The hospitalization time(12.14±1.16)d,postoperative weight-bearing time(5.63±1.07)weeks,and fracture healing time(7.32±1.18)weeks of the observation group patients were shorter than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=12.535,9.884,6.992,all P<0.05).Com-pared with preoperative,the Harris scores of both groups of patients increased at 1 month,3 months,and 6 months postoperatively,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).However,there was no statistically sig-nificant difference in the comparison between groups at different time periods(all P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the rates of excellent hip joint function and complications rate between the two groups(both P>0.05).Conclusion Gamma3 intramedullary nail and anti-rotation proximal femoral intramedullary nail have compa-rable effect and safety in treating intertrochanteric fracture of femur,but Gamma3 intramedullary nail can speed up the postoperative functional recovery of patients.
