Correlation between Lp-PLA2 and SAA and Carotid Intima-media Thick-ness in Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction
Objective To explore the correlation between lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2(Lp-PLA2)and se-rum amyloid protein A(SAA)and carotid intima-media thickness in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 100 patients with acute cerebral infarction who were hospitalized in the Department of Neurology of Jieyang City from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected as the case group and 100 healthy subjects during the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of Lp-PLA2 and SAA were compared between the case group and the control group, and the levels of Lp-PLA2 and SAA in patients with different carotid intima-media thickness were compared and the correlation analysis was performed. Results The levels of Lp-PLA2 and SAA in case group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The levels of Lp-PLA2 in normal intima group(248.41±25.46)µg/L,thickening intima group(278.38±27.31)µg/L and plaque for-mation group(302.15±30.80)µg/L were increased successively;the levels of SAA in normal intima group(52.12±15.46)mg/L,thickening intima group(68.46±18.49)mg/L and plaque formation group(76.24±19.31)mg/L were in-creased successively, and the differences were statistically significant(F=3.542,3.165,both P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that Lp-PLA2 and SAA were positively correlated with carotid intima-media thickness in patients with acute cerebral infarction(both P<0.05).Conclusion Lp-PLA2 and SAA are positively correlated with carotid intima-media thickness in patients with acute cerebral infarction,so it is necessary to timely treat Lp-PLA2 and SAA levels in patients to prevent disease deterioration.
