Effect of Xiaochengqi Decoction TCM Enema Combined with Compound Polyethylene Glycol Electrolyte Powder for Gynecological Surgery
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Xiaochengqi Decoction TCM enema combined with com-pound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder for intestinal cleaning before gynecological surgery.Methods A total of 82 gynecological surgery patients admitted to Pizhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jiangsu Province from March 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.They were randomly divided into control group and study group by double-blind lottery method,with 41 cases in each group.The control group was treated with com-pound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder,and the study group was treated with Xiaochengqi Decoction TCM en-ema based on the control group.The clinical effect of the two groups was compared.Results The excellent intestinal cleaning effect of the research group was 97.56%,which was higher than the control group's 85.37%,and the differ-ence was statistically significant(χ2=3.904,P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 2.44%,lower than the control group's 4.88%,but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The first postoperative exhaust and defecation time in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Xiaochengqi Decoction TCM enema com-bined with compound polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder can ensure good intestinal cleaning effect before gyneco-logical surgery,and has high safety,and can promote early postoperative exhaust and defecation.
