Clinical Investigation of Betahistine Mesylate Tablets Combined with the Method of Activating Blood and Removing Blood Stasis in the Treatment of Sensorineural Deafness
Objective To study the clinical efficacy of the combined application of betahistine mesylate tablets and the method of activating blood and removing blood stasis in the treatment of sensorineural deafness.Methods A total of 48 patients with sensorineural deafness treated in Zhangjiagang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Au-gust 2020 to August 2022 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into two groups by random number table method.The control group(n=24)was treated with betahistine mesylate tablet,and the observation group(n=24)was treated with betahistine mesylate tablet combined with blood-activating and blood-removing method.The efficacy and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups of patients.Results After treatment,the tinnitus score(0.39±0.08)points,ear flatulence score(0.26±0.07)points,nausea and vomiting score(0.49±0.08)points and vertigo score(0.38±0.07)points of the observation group were all lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=25.648,25.390,14.176,26.301,all P<0.05).After treatment,the hear-ing test value of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of betahistine mesylate tablets and activating blood circulation to re-move blood stasis in patients with sensorineural deafness can effectively improve the disease symptoms,improve the hearing level,and have a high safety.
