Early Diagnostic Value of the Combined Detection of Serum PCT,CRP and IL-6 for Bacterial Bloodstream Infections
Objective To investigate the value of the combined detection of serum PCT,CRP and IL-6 for the early diagnosis of bacterial bloodstream infections. Methods 120 cases of suspected bacterial bloodstream infection admit-ted to Rugao Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects.Blood was collected to detect serum procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)lev-els,and blood culture results were used as the gold standard to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of the combined detec-tion of the three indicators. Results The positive rate of bacterial infection in the 120 cases was 43.33%and the nega-tive rate was 56.67%.The diagnostic accuracy of the three-indicator combined test for bacterial bloodstream infection was 95.83%and sensitivity 96.15%,which was higher than that of the two-two indicator combined test, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The specificity of the combined detection of three indicators was 95.59%,compared with the two-two indicators combined test, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclu-sion The levels of PCT,CRP and IL-6 were abnormally elevated in patients with bacterial bloodstream infections, and the combined detection could improve the diagnostic efficacy.
