Comparison of Total Hip Replacement and Semi-hip Replacement in the Treatment of Femoral Neck Fracture in Elderly Patients
Objective To investigate the effects of total hip replacement and semi-hip replacement in elderly patients with femoral neck fracture. Methods A total of sixty-eight elderly patients with femoral neck fracture who underwent surgical treatment in Taixing Third People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected and divided into control group(semi-hip replacement)and observation group(total hip replacement)with thirty-four cases in each group by random number table. The indexes of postoperative recovery, functional recovery of hip joint and the occur-rence of complications between two groups were compared. Results The operation time of the observation group was(115.73±10.73)min longer than that of the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was(468.62±41.59)mL higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=7.552,22.123,both P<0.05).The Harris score of observation group was higher than that of control group at 6 months and 12 months after operation, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with semi-hip replacement, total hip replacement has a longer treatment time and more blood loss, but patients have better hip recovery and fewer complications.
