Efficacy of Azithromycin Combined with Budesonide Nebulized Inhalation in the Treatment of Pediatric Mycoplasma pneumoniae Infection and the Effect on Immune Function
Objective To investigate the effect of combined azithromycin and budesonide nebulized inhalation therapy in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. Methods 100 cases of children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae in-fection diagnosed and treated in Lianshui Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into two groups with 50 cases in each group according to the number table randomization method. The control group was treated with azithromycin, and the observation group was further treated with budesonide nebulized inhalation, the efficacy, symptom improvement time, immune function and occurrence adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total efficacy rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(96.00%vs 80.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2= 6.061,P<0.05).The improvement time of each symptom of the children in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ were elevated and CD8+ was decreased in two groups after treatment, compared with the control group, the observation group had higher levels of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ and lower levels of CD8+,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significance in comparing the rate of adverse reactions during medication in the two groups of children(P>0.05).Conclusion The addition of budesonide nebulized inhalation therapy to azithromycin in children with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection can improve the efficacy, improve the symptoms and immune function of chil-dren,and have fewer adverse reactions.
