Safety of Blue Light Irradiation Combined with Sodium Fructose Diphos-phate in the Treatment of Neonatal Severe Hyperbilirubinemia
Objective To explore the safety of traditional blue light irradiation combined with sodium fructose diphos-phate in the treatment of severe hyperbilirubinemia in neonates. Methods A total of 102 neonates with severe hyper-bilirubinemia were admitted to Jining Third People's Hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects. The patients were divided into analysis group(n=51,traditional blue light irradiation + fructose diphos-phate treatment)and control group(n=51,traditional blue light irradiation treatment)by random number table method.Symptom improvement time, bilirubin levels, neurological function, and safety were compared between the two groups. Results Disappearance time of skin stained yellow time in analysis group(5.31±1.05)d was significantly shorter than that in control group(6.33±1.10)d,and the difference was statistically significant(t=4.790,P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in bilirubin level and nerve function between the two groups(both P>0.05).After treatment, the bilirubin level and nerve function of the two groups were significantly improved, and the improvement degree of the analysis group was significantly better than that of the control group, the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the analysis group(1.96%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(24.41%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Tradi-tional blue light irradiation combined with sodium fructose diphosphate treatment in neonates with severe hyperbiliru-binemia can effectively shorten the time of symptom improvement, significantly improve the level of bilirubin and neu-rological function of the children, and is safer.
