Clinical Effect Analysis of Alfacalcitol Soft Capsules Combined with Alen-dronate Sodium Vitamin D3 Tablets in the Treatment of Elderly Osteoporosis
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of osteoporosis(OP)in the elderly treated with alfacalcitol soft capsule combined with alendronate sodium vitamin D3 tablets.Methods A total of 116 cases of elderly OP patients ad-mitted to Guizhou Hospital of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the study ob-jects and divided into the study group(n=58,alfacalcitol soft capsule combined with alendronate sodium vitamin D3 tablets treatment)and the control group(n=58,alendronate sodium vitamin D3 tablets treatment)with the random number table method.Clinical efficacy,bone mineral density,Visual Analog Scale(VAS),and Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)scores were compared between the two groups.Results The total statistical treatment efficacy rate was 96.55%(56/58)in the study group,which was higher than 84.48%(49/58)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.921,P<0.05).Bone mineral density increased in both groups after treatment,and the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).VAS and ODI scores decreased in both groups after treatment,and the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Elderly OP patients treated with the combination of alfacalcitol soft capsule and alendronate sodium vitamin D3 tablets can promote the clinical effi-cacy,improve their bone mineral density level,reduce the degree of pain,and improve the mobility.
