Correlation between Serum Klotho Protein,Ang Ⅱ and Progression of Type 2 Diabetic Nephropathy
Objective To explore the correlation between serum Klotho protein, angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang Ⅱ)and the pro-gression of diabetic nephropathy, aiming to provide new targets for clinical control of diabetic nephropathy. Methods A total of 104 patients diagnosed with diabetic nephropathy in Wuxi People's Hospital from May 2018 to October 2019 and 56 healthy volunteers who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as the study objects,The patients with diabetic nephropathy were divided into 3 groups accroding to their condition, and the volunteers were set as the control group. The expressions of serum Klotho protein and Ang Ⅱ were compared between the 4 groups. The correlation between serum Klotho protein,Ang Ⅱ and the progression of diabetic nephropathy was analyzed by Pearson analysis. Results Serum Klotho protein level in each group of diabetic nephropathy was de-creased,lower than that in healthy control group, and Ang Ⅱ level was increased, higher than that in healthy control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum Klotho protein was negatively correlated with the progression of diabetic nephropathy(r=-0.611,P<0.05),and Ang Ⅱ expres-sion was positively correlated with the progression of diabetic nephropathy(r=0.529,P<0.05).Conclusion Serum Klotho protein and Ang Ⅱ are closely related to the progression of diabetic nephropathy, and diabetic patients can be regularly monitored for serum Klotho protein and Ang Ⅱ levels.
