Clinical Safety of Non-convulsive Electroconvulsive Therapy in Psychiat-ric Patients
Objective To analyze the value of non-convulsive electroconvulsive therapy in psychiatric patients.Meth-ods A total of 120 psychiatric patients admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Changshu City from November 2021 to November 2023 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into traditional group and practice group by dice playing method, with 60 cases in each group. The traditional group received drug treatment, and the practice group was supplemented with non-convulsive electroconvulsive therapy.Symptom score, cognitive function and cura-tive effect were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in psy-chiatric symptom scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the psychotic symptoms scores of the prac-tice group were lower than those of the traditional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Be-fore treatment, there was no significant difference in total responses, false responses and completion time between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the total number of responses and the number of false responses in the practice group were lower than those in the traditional group, and the completion time was shorter, and the differences were sta-tistically significant(all P<0.05).The effective rate of the practice group(96.67%)was significantly higher than that of the traditional group(83.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.926,P<0.05).Conclusion Non-convulsive electroconvulsive therapy can reduce psychosis related symptoms, maintain good cognitive function, and is highly effective.
