Epidemiological Characteristics of Mycoplasma Pneumoniae and Clinical Characteristics of Severe Pneumonia
Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of mycoplasma pneu-moniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods The clinical data of 50 children with pneumonia admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from November 2022 to October 2023 were retrospectively selected.Accord-ing to the positive results of Mycoplasma pneumoniae Immunoglobulin M(IgM),the children were divided into MPP group(n=17)and non-MPP group(n=33),and the clinical characteristics of the two groups were compared.Re-sults There were statistically significant differences in length of hospital stay, invasive procedures, white blood cell count, neutrophil ratio,C-reactive protein and procalcitonin between the two groups(all P<0.05).Length of stay,inva-sive procedures, white blood cell count, neutrophil ratio,C-reactive protein and procalcitonin were risk factors for my-coplasma pneumoniae in children with pneumonia(OR=4.366,3.662,3.444,2.782,3.669,4.551,all P<0.05).Con-clusion Length of hospital stay, invasive operation, white blood cell count, neutrophils ratio,c-reactive protein and calcitonin original children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia has a great influence, and Suggestions to strengthen the areas of concern in the clinical,to minimize the impact.
