Current Situation of Hypoglycemia in Neonates and Analysis of Influenc-ing Factors
Objective To study the occurrence of neonatal hypoglycemia and the influencing factors. Methods A total of 1 189 newborns admitted to Qidong Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Jiangsu Province from October 2020 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects, divided into control group(n=85)and observation group(n=1 104)ac-cording to whether hypoglycemia occurred.Basic information, birth status, feeding status, complications and maternal gestational diabetes of the two groups were collected and compared.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis of neona-tal hypoglycemia risk factors. Results The risk factors for hypoglycemia in 85 children were analyzed and found that gestational age, birth weight, improper feeding, hypoxemia, hypothermia, and gestational diabetes mellitus were the risk factors for the development of hypoglycemia in newborns(OR=11.753,6.331,2.862,2.728,1.904,2.354,all P<0.05).Conclusion Gestational age, birth mass, improper feeding, hypoxemia, hypothermia, gestational diabetes melli-tus are the risk factors for the occurrence of neonatal hypoglycemia, and appropriate interventions should be taken to prevent neonatal hypoglycemia in neonates with risk factors.
