Progress in Clinical Application of Calcium Channel Blockers in Patients with Chronic Pain
Modern medicine classifies pain as the fifth vital sign after respiration,pulse,blood pressure and body tem-perature,which shows its importance in human health.Chronic pain refers to the perceived pain that persists beyond the normal healing time(usually 3 months).In contrast to acute pain,chronic pain generally involves the physical or nervous system and may affect multiple aspects of the body.Due to the complex pathogenesis,individual differences and neuroplasticity,chronic pain is relatively difficult to treat.Drug therapy is a common method in chronic pain man-agement,and the selection or compatibility of drugs has always been a hot spot in clinical research.This article re-views the application of calcium channel blockers in chronic pain,aiming to provide reference for the treatment of the disease.
