Effect of Chinese Medicine Sitting Bath Fumigation with Feux Rouges Therapy on Wound Healing and Anal Margin Edema after Mixed Hemor-rhoids External Peeling and Internal Ligation Surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine sitting bath fumigation together with feux rouges treatment on mixed hemorrhoids after external peeling and internal ligation, and to observe the degree of wound healing and anal margin edema. Methods A total of 86 patients with mixed hemorrhoids admitted to Dongtai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the study objects. After admission, all the patients underwent anoscopy and other related diagnostic measures, and performed external strip-ping and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids. After operation, they were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with feux rouges, and the observation group was treated with red light, combined with traditional Chinese medicine sit-bath fumigation. The wound healing time, the degree of anal edema and pain one week after surgery, the scores of anal incontinence and defecation control, the scores of pain and edema, and the time for wound realing, anal fall and blood in stool to disap-pear were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 and 7 d of treatment,Anal edema(1.12±0.13)points,(1.01±0.11)points and pain degree(6.74±0.41)points,(4.48±0.21)points in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(1.22±0.21)points,(1.08±0.17)points,(7.05±0.51)points,(5.65±0.36)points,the differences were statistically significant(t=2.483,2.267,3.106,18.408,all P<0.05).After 3 and 7 d of treatment, the scores of anal incontinence and defecation control in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Wound healing time, anal fall time and disappear-ance time of stool blood in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the adjuvant treatment of patients after external peeling and inter-nal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids, the effect of using traditional Chinese medicine sitting bath fumigation combined with feux rouges treatment was stronger than that of single use of feux rouges treatment. It can not only accelerate the recovery speed of wound healing, but also reduce the discomfort of anal margin edema.
