Clinical Effect of Appendicitis Resection with Small Incision in the Treat-ment of Appendicitis
Objective To evaluate the value of small incision resection in the treatment of appendicitis. Methods A to-tal of 80 patients with appendicitis admitted to Zhangye Shandan County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Gansu Province from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a tra-ditional group and a small incision group by envelope method, with 40 cases in each group. The traditional group un-derwent traditional resection, while the small incision group underwent small incision resection. The intraoperative in-dex,postoperative recovery index, wound healing status and incidence of complications between two groups were com-pared.Results Incision size, time consuming and blood loss indexes in the small incision group were significantly bet-ter than those in the traditional group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The 3-day pain score of the small incision group was significantly lower than that of the traditional group, and the time of first anal ex-haust,time of getting out of bed activity and hospitalization days were significantly shorter in the traditional group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The healing probability of grade A incision in the small inci-sion group(95.00%)was significantly higher than that in the traditional group(57.50%),while the healing probability of grade B and C incisions(5.00%,0)were significantly lower than those in the traditional group(30.00%,12.50%),and the difference was statistically significant(Z=2.953,P<0.05).The complication rate of the small incision group(2.50%)was significantly lower than that of the traditional group(20.00%),and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=6.134,P<0.05).Conclusion Small incision resection has higher clinical value, less traumatic surgery for ap-pendicitis,which is conducive to promoting postoperative recovery, improving postoperative pain, reducing the inci-dence of postoperative complications, and improving the wound healing effect.
