Effects of Laparoscopic Radical Resection of Colon Cancer on Gastrointes-tinal Function and Complications in Elderly Patients with Colon Cancer
Objective To observe the effect of laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer in elderly patients with colon cancer. Methods The clinical data of 102 elderly patients with colorectal cancer treated in Zaozhuang Munici-pal Hospital of Shandong Province from January 2020 to October 2022 were retrospectively selected. There were 51 cases in each observation group(laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer)and control group(laparotomy radical resection of colon cancer).Postoperative indexes, complication rate and gastrointestinal function recovery time were compared between the two groups of patients. Results There was no statistically significant difference in operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The amount of bleeding in the observation group was less than that in the con-trol group, the time of getting out of bed, hospitalization time and recovery time of gastrointestinal function were shorter than those in the control group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer in elderly patients can reduce the stress reaction, reduce the amount of bleeding, shorten the recovery time of gastrointes-tinal function, reduce the incidence of complications, and have good safety.
