Clinical Effect of Banxia Houpu Decoction on Thyroid Nodules
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Banxia Houpu Decoction on thyroid nodules.Methods 64 pa-tients with thyroid nodules treated in Jiawang District People's Hospital of Xuzhou City from January 2021 to Decem-ber 2022 were selected as the study objects and were divided into two groups according to random number table method.The control group(32 cases)was treated with levothyroxine,and the observation group(32 cases)was addi-tionally treated with Banxia Houpu Decoction.The clinical efficacy,traditional chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score,maximum diameter of thyroid nodule and thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.63%,higher than that of the control group(65.63%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.480,P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM symptom score and maximum nodule diameter of the two groups were significantly decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the TSH level of both groups was decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the differences were statisti-cally significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Banxia Houpu Decoction has good curative effect on thyroid nodules,can reduce the di-ameter of thyroid nodules,improve clinical symptoms,and has high safety.
