Curative Effect of Two Types of Operation Combined with Cataract and Glaucoma
Objective To explore the effectiveness of two operation methods for the treatment of cataract combined with glaucoma. Methods 100 patients with cataract combined with glaucoma admitted to Liaocheng Third People's Hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects, they were randomly divided into the reference group(50 cases, cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation)and the study group(50 cases, modified small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation combined treatment with trabeculectomy)using random number table method.Intraocular pressure, visual acuity level and ante-rior chamber depth were compared between two groups of patients. Results After operation, the intraocular pressure of the study group was lower than that of the reference group, the visual acuity level was better than that of the reference group, anterior chamber depth was higher than that of the reference group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group(4.00%)was lower than that in the reference group(16.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.000,P=0.045).Conclusion The combined treatment of cataract with glaucoma using modified small incision non-phacoemulsification cataract extrac-tion and intraocular lens implantation with trabeculectomy has outstanding effects, which can better reduce postopera-tive intraocular pressure, improve visual acuity level and anterior chamber depth, and reduce complications.
