Analysis of the Value of Chemiluminescent Immunoassay and TPPA for Detection of Treponema Pallidum Antibody
Objective To analyze the value of treponema pallidum particle agglutination(TPPA)and chemilumines-cent immunoassay(CLIA)in the detection of treponema pallidum antibody. Methods 1636 serum samples from outpa-tient and inpatient patients admitted to the laboratory department of Dongping County People's Hospital from Febru-ary 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research oubjects.TPPA and CLIA were used to detect specific anti-bodies serologically. With treponema pallidum serological test as the gold standard, the sensitivity, specificity, and ac-curacy of the two detection methods were calculated and compared for analysis. Results Sensitivity of CLIA and TPPA were 85.89%and 91.02%,with specificity 99.87%and 99.81%,with accuracy 99.21%and 99.39%,respectively.There were no statistically significant differences in sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy between the two detection methods(χ2=1.005,0.200,0.394,all P>0.05).Conclusion The application of CLIA and TPPA in the detection and treatment of treponema pallidum antibodies found that both detection methods have high diagnostic efficacy, and CLIA is faster and easier to apply to automated high-throughput experiments, can improve the detection efficiency, and the cost is lower, and can be clinically promoted in the diagnosis of syphilis.
