Application of Empagliflozin in Patients with Low Ejection Fraction Heart Failure and its Effect on Ventricular Remodeling
Objective To investigate the effect of empagliflozin on patients with low ejection fraction heart failure.Methods 60 patients with heart failure with low ejection fraction admitted to Dongtai People's Hospital in Jiangsu Province from February 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into the con-trol group(30 cases,treated with conventional therapy)and the observation group(30 cases,treated with conventional therapy and empagliflozin)using the touch ball method.The treatment effects of two groups of patients were compared.Results After 3 months of medication,the levels of N-terminal pro brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)and esti-mated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=15.024,4.561,both P<0.05).The levels of iinflammatory factors and ven-tricular remodeling related indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the level of 6-minute walking distance(6MWD)was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Empagliflozin therapy can improve ventricular remodeling effectively in patients with low ejection fraction heart failure.
