Effectiveness of Metronidazole Tablets and Baofukang Gel Combined with Promestriene Cream in the Treatment of Geriatric Vaginitis and the Effect on the Levels of Inflammatory Factors
Objective To analysis the effect of metronidazole tablets and Baofukang gel combined with promestriene cream in the treatment of geriatric vaginitis and the effect on inflammatory factors.Methods 86 patients with geriatric vaginitis received by the outpatient clinic of Jingjiang People's Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were se-lected as the study objects and were divided into the observation group and the control group,with 43 cases in each group,by the method of randomized numerical table.Patients in the observation group were treated with metronidazole tablets and Baofukang gel combined with promestriene cream,while patients in the control group were treated with metronidazole tablets and Baofukang gel.Compare the total effective rate of treatment,inflammatory factor level,qual-ity of life of the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.67%,which was higher than 81.40%in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.468,P<0.05).Interleu-kin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α,and C-reactive protein in the observation group were(48.27±12.84)ng/L,(72.63±2.42)ng/L and(30.26±8.34)mg/L,which were lower than those in the control group after the intervention,the differ-ences were statistically significant(t=2.875,14.853,11.212,all P<0.05).Conclusion Metronidazole tablets and Bao-fukang gel combined with promestriene cream given to patients with geriatric vaginitis in outpatient clinics can acheive better therapeutic effects,with significant improvement of patients'symptoms and reduction of inflammatory factor levels.
