Evaluation of Clinical Efficacy of Application of Resorcinol in the Treat-ment of Cervical Edema Caused by Childbirth
Objective To analyze the effect of maternal cervical edema caused by childbirth treated with resorcinol. Methods 90 puerperants of cervical edema caused by childbirth admitted to Shouguang People's Hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the study objects. They were divided into two groups using a random number table, with 45 cases in each group.Puerperants in the control group were treated with lidocaine + atropine,puerper-ants in the observation group were treated with resorcinol.Clinical efficacy, duration of labor,delivery-related in-dexes,cervical edema subsidence rate and transvaginal delivery rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total treatment efficiency of the observation group was 93.33%,which was higer than 77.78%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.405,P=0.035).The duration of the 1st,2nd and 3rd stage of labor in the observation group was shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The speed of uterine dilatation, neonatal Apgar score, the time of full opening of the uterine orifice and the amount of bleeding in the 2 h postpartum period of the observation group were better than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The rate of cervical edema subsiding and the the rate of trans-vaginal delivery of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of cervical edema caused by childbirth with resorcinol has a bet-ter clinical effect, which can promote the dilatation of the uterine orifice, shorten the duration of labor, and improve the neonatal Apgar score and the rate of transvaginal delivery.
