Research Progress on the Role of IL-22 in Airway Allergic Diseases
Interleukin-22(IL-22)belongs to the interleukin-10(IL-10)cytokine family, which can be produced by a variety of lymphocytes, which mainly includes activated T helper cell 17(Th17),group 3 innate lymphoid cell(ILC3),natural killer cell(ILC3),natural killer cell(NK),T helper cell 22(Th22),and γδT cells.IL-22 participate in the im-mune response of the body's infection and inflammation process, plays the role of anti-inflammatory,resistance to the invasion of extracellular pathogens and maintain the integrity of the barrier.Studies have found that IL-22 is involved in the occurrence and development of airway allergic inflammation, and its specific mechanism of action is still un-clear.In this paper, the biological characteristics of IL-22 and the role, mechanism and research progress of IL-22 in airway allergic diseases were reviewed.
