Effect of Sputum Aspiration Combined with Alveolar Lavage in the Treat-ment of Elderly Patients with Hypostatic Pneumonia and Its Influence on Oxygenation Index
Objective To investigate the effect of sputum aspiration combined with alveolar lavage on patients with hy-postatic pneumonia. Methods A total of 60 patients with severe pulmonary infection admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Peixian County People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into two groups with 30 cases each according to random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with sputum aspiration combined with alveolar lavage based on the control group.Infection indicators, arterial blood gas index, pulmonary inflammatory absorption and adverse reactions occurrence were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, serum C-reactive protein,procalcitonin,interleukin-6 and carbon dioxide in the observation group were lower than the con-trol group, and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the oxygen partial pressure and oxygenation index of the observation group were higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant dif-ferences(all P<0.05).The efficacy of the observation group was 93.33%,which was better than that of the control group(73.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.320,P<0.05).No adverse reactions occurred dur-ing treatment between two groups. Conclusion Sputum aspiration combined with alveolar lavage in the treatment of pa-tients with hypostatic pneumonia can improve arterial blood gas indexes, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, and do not increase the incidence of adverse reactions, and the safety and effectiveness of patients can be guaranteed.
