Observation on the Effectiveness of Palmaris longus Tendon Grafting and Transposition of the Intrinsic Extensor Tendon of the Indicated Finger in the Treatment of Spontaneous Rupture Disease of the Extensor Digitorum Longus Tendon
Objective To compare the effect of metacarpal longus tendon transplantation and natural extensor finger tendon transposition in treatment of spontaneous rupture of extensor pollicis longus tendon. Methods 60 patients with spontaneous rupture of extensor thumb tendon admitted to Jiaozhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the different surgical methods of the two groups, they were divided into group one(palmar longus tendon transplantation treatment)and groups two(indicating the natural extensor tendon transfer treatment),with 30 cases each,to compare the therapeutic effects and finger func-tion index. Results The excellent and good rate of group one was 90.00%,and that of group two was 86.67%,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Comparsion of finger function index,(over-all function, daily living ability, work performance,self-satisfaction and pain score)between the two groups of pa-tients,the differences were not statistically significant(all P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with spon-taneous rupture of extensor pollicis longus tendon, the transfer of indicative extensor tendon and the transplantation of palmar longus tendon are both common and effective operations, and the two methods have achieved good clinical re-sults.The operation should be selected according to the patient's condition and personal wishes.
