Observation on the effect of furnace glycerine lotion combined with levoce-tirizine in the treatment of chronic urticaria
Objective To investigate the clinical value of calamine lotion combined with levocetirizine in the treat-ment of chronic urticaria.Methods The clinical data of 98 patients with chronic urticaria admitted to Wuxi Children's Hospital Affiliated to Jiangnan University from January 2018 to December 2022 were retrospectively selected,and they were divided into observation group(calamine+levcetirizine,n=49)and control group(levcetirizine,n=49)accord-ing to the treatment method used.The 7-day Urticaria Activity Score(UAS7),interleukin-4(IL-4),interferon-γ(INF-γ),Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI),recurrence rate and adverse event rate were compared between the two groups.Results The number of wind masses in the two groups were(5.05±1.10)points and(5.99±1.12)points,and the scores of itch degree were(6.10±0.88)points and(7.03±1.05)points in UAS7 scores,respectively,the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.192,4.752,both P<0.05).IL-4 level and DLQI score in observation group were lower than those in control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in INF-γ,recur-rence rate and adverse events rate between two groups(all P>0.05).Conclusion Levocetirizine in the treatment of chronic urticaria combined with calamine lotion can play a better control effect on disease activity,improve IL-4 clini-cal indicators,and improve the quality of life of patients.
