Role of Interleukin-6 Combined with Blood Routine Test in the Diagnosis of Elderly Patients with COPD
Objective To investigate the role of interleukin-6(IL-6)combined with blood routine test in the diagnosis of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Fifty elderly COPD patients admitted to Dongda Hospital of Shanxian County from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 50 healthy physical examination patients received during the same period were selected as the control group.IL-6 and blood routine tests were performed in both groups. The results were compared between the two groups, and the diag-nostic efficacy was calculated. Results Compared with the control group, the IL-6 and white blood cell counts in the observation group were higher, while the platelet counts were lower, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The accuracy and sensitivity of IL-6 and blood routine were 95.00%and 92.00%,respectively,signifi-cantly higher than IL-6 test 74.00%,60.00%,the differences were statistically significant(χ2=16.835,14.035,both P<0.05)and blood routine test 80.00%,68.00%,the differences were statistically significant(χ2=10.285,9.000,both P<0.05).Conclusion IL-6 combined with blood routine test has a good role in the diagnosis and treatment of elderly pa-tients with COPD,and the condition of patients can be judged according to the test results. In contrast,IL-6 combined blood routine test can achieve higher diagnostic value than single IL-6 or blood routine test.
