Clinical Effect of Transurethral Resection of Prostate Combined with Tam-sulosin in the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of transurethral resection of prostate combined with tamsulosin in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Methods A total of 60 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia ad-mitted to the Department of Urology,Junan County People's Hospital of Shandong Province from May 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into the control group treated with transurethral resection of the prostate and the combined group treated with transurethral resection of the prostate combined with tamsulosin by double-blind method, with 30 cases in each group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were com-pared.Results After treatment, the International Prostate Symptom Scores and Bother of Score in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After treatment, the residual urine volume and prostate volume in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The maximum urinary flow rate of the combined group(23.54±3.24)mL/s was higher than that of the control group(17.63±2.23)mL/s,and the difference was statistically significant(t=8.229,P<0.05).The quality of life scores of the combined group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia,in addition to the application of transurethral resection of the prostate to remove the patient's hyperplastic tissue, combined with tamsulosin treatment can effectively improve the patient's disease symp-toms,improve the patient's urinary control ability, improve the patient's quality of life, and have positive significance for the patient's prognosis recovery.
