Effect of Modified Radical Mastectomy on Breast Cancer and Its Effect on Hormone Levels
Objective To explore the effect of modified radical mastectomy on hormone levels of breast cancer.Meth-ods A total of 100 patients with breast cancer admitted to Ganyu District People's Hospital of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects. They were randomly divided into two groups according to envelope method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group underwent ipsilateral mastec-tomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy, and the observation group underwent modified radical mastectomy. The opera-tion related indexes and incidence of postoperative complications(subcutaneous effusion, upper limb edema, flap ne-crosis)were compared between the two groups. After 1 year of follow-up the hormone levels and incidence of recur-rence of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time of observation group was longer than that of con-trol group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence in the two groups(both P>0.05).The levels of serum free tri-iodothyronine(4.47±1.60)pmol/L and free thyroxine(16.33±6.09)pmol/L in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(2.70±1.23)pmol/L and(12.50±2.46)pmol/L 1 year after operation, the differences were sta-tistically significant(t=6.202,4.123,both P<0.05).Conclusion Modified radical mastectomy has a prominent thera-peutic effect on breast cancer patients,it can improve the level of postoperative hormones, and has high safety.
