As one of the major malignant tumors in the world,colorectal cancer ranks third and second in the inci-dence and mortality of cancer worldwide.With the proposed concept of precision medicine,how to provide patients with more targeted treatment programs has become the focus of cancer treatment.Although pharmacological treatment of colorectal cancer has made progress in chemotherapy,targeted therapy,immunotherapy,etc.,how to predict the effi-cacy of drugs more accurately remains a challenge.This article summarized the epidemiological background of colorec-tal cancer and the importance of precision medicine.Various drug treatment methods of colorectal cancer were re-viewed.The central content focused on the research progress of organoid model in drug sensitivity detection of colorec-tal cancer,and discussed the unique advantages of organoid model and its application in colorectal cancer and colon cancer.The main problems and challenges in the clinical application of organoid drug sensitivity tests were also dis-cussed.This paper aimed to promote the development of precision therapy for colorectal cancer and provide more indi-vidualized treatment recommendations for patients,so as to improve the treatment effect and the quality of life of pa-tients.
