Effect of Emergency Non-invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation on Severe Bronchial Asthma Complicated with Respiratory Failure
Objective To explore the effectiveness of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation in patients with severe bronchial asthma complicated with respiratory failure. Methods A total of 76 patients with severe bronchial asthma combined with respiratory failure admitted to Beijing Yanhua Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were se-lected as study subjects, and divided into study group and reference group by random number table method, with 38 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with routine treatment, and the study group added emergency non-invasive positive pressure ventilation for treatment on the basis of reference group. The treatment effect between the two groups was compared. Results The effective rate in the study group(100.00%)was higher than that in the ref-erence group(84.21%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.524,P=0.033).The blood gas index and vital signs of the study group were better than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(both P<0.05).The complication rate of study group was lower than that of the reference group, and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Emergency non-invasive positive pressure ventilation for pa-tients with severe bronchial asthma complicated with respiratory failure can improve the therapeutic effect, optimize blood gas index, maintain stable vital signs and reduce complications.
