Effect of Modified Endoscopic Nasal Surgery on Intraoperative Blood Loss and Postoperative Hospital Stay in Patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps
Objective To explore the effect of modified endoscopic surgery on patients with chronic sinusitis and na-sal polyps. Methods 88 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps admitted to Dongda Hospital of Shanxian County from October 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional endoscopic surgery, and the study group was treated with modified endoscopic nasal surgery. The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results After treatment, the scores of nasal congestion, runny nose, headache and edema in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.001).The intraoperative blood loss of the study group was(87.12±40.23)mL,which was less than that of the control group(126.32±52.89)mL,and the postoperative hospitalization time was(2.81±1.06)d,which was shorter than that of the control group(4.96±1.52)d,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.129,8.121,both P<0.001).The total complication rate of the study group was 4.08%,which was lower than that of the control group(16.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.009,P<0.05).Conclusion The modified endoscopic na-sal surgery can accelerate the postoperative rehabilitation of patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps, shorten their hospital stay.
