Clinical Effect of Percutaneous Endoscopic Lumbar Discectomy of Nucleus Pulposus in Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy(PELD)in pa-tients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods Eighty LDH patients who received treatment at Jingxi People's Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into the control group(n=40,laminectomy of nucleus pulpoideus)and the study group(n=40,PELD treatment)according to surgical meth-ods.The clinical effects of the two groups before treatment(T0)and after treatment(T1)were compared. Results The intraoperative blood loss, operation time and hospital stay of the study group patients were better than those of the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The lumbar spine function scores of two groups of patients at T1 were lower than at T0,and the study group was significantly lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life scores of two groups of patients at T1 were higher than those at T0,and the study group was higher than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of complications(2.50%)and recurrence rate(2.50%)in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(χ2=4.507,4.507,both P<0.05).Conclusion PELD is effective in treating LDH,and the complication rate and recurrence rate are lower.
