Efficacy of Nocinazone Sodium Combined with Comprehensive Rehabilita-tion in the Treatment of Children with Type 5q Spinal Muscular Atrophy
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of nocinazone sodium combined with comprehensive rehabilita-tion therapy in children with type 5q spinal muscular atrophy.Methods A total of fourteen children with spinal mus-cular atrophy type 5q admitted to Hongyang Branch of Puning Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected and divided into control group(n=7)and observation group(n=7)by random number table method.The control group was treated with nocinazole sodium therapy,and the observation group was treated with nocinazole sodium combined with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy,The upper body strength,motor function,activities of daily living and the incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Re-sults After treatment,the Revised Version of Upper Limb Module score was(30.52±3.45)points,the Hammersmith Motor Function Scale Expanded version score was(60.47±4.63)points,and the Modified Barthel Index Rating Scale score was(90.15±5.74)points in the observation group,higher than those of the control group(22.46±3.13),(52.25±4.27),(80.63±5.17)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.578,3.453,3.261,all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events between the two groups were compared,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion In children with type 5q spinal muscular atrophy,combined with comprehensive rehabilitation therapy on the basis of nocinazone sodium treatment can effectively improve their upper limb strength,promote the re-covery of their motor function,enhance their activities of daily living,and reduce the risk of adverse events such as pressure sores and lung infections.
