Effect of Metformin Combined with Ethinestradiol Cyproterone Tablets in the Treatment of Adolescent Menstrual Disorders and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Its Influence on TC Levels
Objective To explore the positive effect of combined therapy with metformin and ethinestradiol cyproter-one tablets on optimizing the level of total cholesterol(TC)in adolescent patients with menstrual disorders and polycys-tic ovary syndrome.Methods 72 adolescent patients with menstrual disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome admitted to the Adolescent Health Department of Tengzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Shandong Province from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups using odd even num-bers method.The odd numbered patients were included in the control group(n=36,receiving monotherapy with ethin-estradiol cyproterone tablets),while the even numbered patients were included in the observation group(n=36,receiv-ing combination therapy with metformin tablets and ethinestradiol cyproterone tablets).The treatment outcomes of the two groups were compared.Results After treatment,the insulin,blood lipids,and sex hormone related indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.56%,which was lower than the con-trol group's 22.22%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.181,P<0.05).Conclusion Adolescent pa-tients with menstrual disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome received metformin and ethinestradiol cyproterone tab-lets combined therapy,the body's TC level has been greatly optimized,abnormal insulin and sex hormone levels can be significantly restored,adverse reactions are less,safety is good,and clinical effects are significant after treatment.
