Evaluation of the Treatment and Prognosis of Children with Diarrhea by Bifidobacterium Bifidum Quadruple Bacteria Tablets Combined with Montmorillonite Powder Regimen
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of the combination of montmorillonite powder and bifido-bacterium bifidum quadruple bacterial tablets in pediatric diarrhea.Methods The diagnosis and treatment data of 120 children with diarrhea admitted to Women and Children's Medical Center Affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University from June 2022 to June 2023 were retrospectively selected.According to different treatment plans,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with montmoril-lonite powder,and the observation group was treated with bifidobacterium bifidum viable tablets.The clinical efficacy,recovery time of clinical signs,symptom score,negative conversion of rotavirus,adenovirus and norovirus and occur-rence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(96.67%vs 83.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.926,P<0.05).The recovery time of body temperature,the recovery time of stool frequency and character,and the disappearance time of abdominal pain in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment,the symptom score of both groups was better than that before treatment,and the observation group was better than the control group,and the differences were statis-tically significant(all P<0.05).The negative conversion rate of rotavirus and adenovirus in the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no sig-nificant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Montmorillon-ite powder plus bifidobacterium bifidum quadruple bacterial tablets therapy can relieve the clinical characteristics and symptoms of children with diarrhea,and is conducive to virus negative transformation,with high safety and reliable ef-ficacy.
