Effect of Joint Cavity Irrigation Combined with Manual Reduction and Ex-ercise on Acute Temporomandibular Joint Irreducible Anterior Disk Dis-placement
Objective To study the therapeutic advantages of joint cavity irrigation combined with manual reduction combined with exercise on patients with acute temporomandibular joint irreducible anterior disk displacement. Methods A total of 40 patients with acute temporomandibular joint irretrievable anterior disk displacement admitted to Pingyi County People's Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as study objects. They were grouped by random drawing. The control group included 20 patients, who were treated with manual reduction and exer-cise.The study group also included 20 patients who underwent joint cavity irrigation combined with manual reduction and exercise therapy. The treatment effect was randomized and compared between groups. Results Before treatment, the pain and maximum mouth opening of the two groups were compared, and the differences were not statistically sig-nificant(both P>0.05).At 1,6,and 12 months after treatment, the pain situation and maximum opening degree of the study group(3.93±0.66)points,(3.87±0.63)points,(3.51±0.08)points,(37.25±2.54)mm,(38.16±2.51)mm,(39.47±3.66)mm were significantly better than those of the control group(4.98±0.82)points,(4.68±0.32)points,(4.35±0.27)points,(33.58±3.31)mm,(34.22±3.18)mm,(35.19±3.01)mm,and the differences were statistically significant(t=4.461,5.126,13.340,3.482,2.117,3.482,all P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with acute temporomandibular joint irreducible anterior disk displacement, joint cavity irrigation combined with manual reduction and exercise therapy is helpful to reduce pain and promote joint functional recovery.
