Analysis of the Effect of Flunarizine Combined with Butylphthalide in the Treatment of Vestibular Migraine Headache
Objective To investigate the effect of flunarizine combined with butylphthalide in the treatment of vestibu-lar migraine headache. Methods The clinical data of 68 patients with vestibular migraine headache admitted to Zao-zhuang Yicheng District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to January 2023 were retrospec-tively analyzed. They were divided into a reference group(34 cases, treated with flunarizine)and an observation group(34 cases, treated with flunarizine combined with butylphthalide)according to the different treatment modalities. The differences between the two groups were analyzed in terms of visual analog scale score, frequency of vertigo attacks, duration of vertigo, vertigo disability rating scale, serum neurotransmitter level, and incidence of adverse reactions. Results The visual analog scale score, vertigo attack frequency, vertigo duration, vertigo disability scale, and serum neurotransmitter level of the observation group significantly improved compared with those of the reference group after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the ob-servation group was 2.94%,which was lower than 23.53%in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.610,P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of vestibular migraine headache with flunarizine combined with butylphthalide can significantly improve the patient's vertigo, headache condition and serum neurotransmitter level, and effectively reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, which has a remarkable effect.
