Effect of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate on Therapeutic Effect and Body Inflammation in Children with Severe Mycoplasma Pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effect of methylprednisolone sodium succinate on the therapeutic effect and in-flammatory response of children with severe mycoplasma pneumonia(MPP).Methods A total of sixty-two children with severe MPP admitted to the Department of General Pediatrics I of Caoxian People's Hospital from January 2019 to June 2023 were selected. The children in the observation group(31 cases)were treated with methylprednisolone so-dium succinate, and the control group(31 cases)were treated with conventional treatment. The clinical efficacy,im-provement time of clinical symptoms and levels of inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.6%,higher than that of the control group(80.6%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=7.381,P<0.05).After treatment, the improvement time of symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of various inflammatory factors in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Methylprednisolone sodium succinate treatment for severe MPP children has a higher therapeutic effect, and can significantly shorten the improve-ment time of clinical symptoms and reduce inflammation, and is more conducive to promoting children rehabilitation than conventional treatment.
