Effect of Laparoscopic Myomectomy versus Traditional Open Myomec-tomy for Uterine Fibroids on the Time to First Anal Ventilation and Days of Hospitalization for Their Treatment
Objective To investigate the effects of the application of laparoscopic myomectomy(LM),traditional open myomectomy(TAM)in the treatment of uterine myomas(UM)and the effects on the time of first anal defecation and the number of hospitalization days. Methods 120 UM patients admitted to Wuhan Renai Hospital from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected for the study, and were divided into an observation group(60 cases treated with LM)and a control group(60 cases treated with TAM)according to the randomized table method.Surgery-related parameters,in-flammatory stress indicators, ovarian function, and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results Compared with the control group, the surgery-related parameters of the observation group were better, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Preoperatively,the C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-6(IL-6),follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),estradiol(E2),and luteinizing hormone(LH)were compared between the two groups, and the differences were not statistically significant(all P>0.05).After surgery, compared with the control group,CRP,PCT,IL-6,FSH,LH were lower and E2 was higher in the observation group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was lower in the observation group(6.67%)than in the control group(20.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ 2=4.615,P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with TAM,implementation of LM in UM treatment is more helpful in im-proving surgery-related parameters, reducing inflammatory stress and adverse effects on ovarian function, and has fewer postoperative complications.
