Clinical Effect of Floating Needle Therapy on Cervical Insomnia
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of floating needle therapy in patients with cervical insomnia. Methods A total of 68 patients with cervicogenic insomnia admitted to the Department of Acupuncture of Karamay Central Hospital from June 2020 to December 2022 were selected as study objects and grouped into 34 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group received conventional acupuncture therapy, and the observa-tion group received floating needle therapy. The clinical efficacy, degree of neck pain, sleep quality and safety of the two groups were compared. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the total effective rate and safety of treatment between the two groups(both P>0.05).After 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, the scores of neck pain de-gree(10.05±4.29)points,(9.75±3.94)points and sleep quality(6.28±1.98),(5.93±1.22)points in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(13.51±5.78)points,(12.01±4.02)points,(10.08±3.98)points,(8.52±2.98)points,the differences were statistically significant(t=2.803,2.341,4.984,4.690,all P<0.05).Conclusion Floating needle therapy for patients with cervical insomnia can achieve the same clinical efficacy and safety as conventional acupuncture, but its effect on the improvement of neck pain and insomnia symptoms is more idea.
