Clinical Pharmacists Participated in the Pharmaceutical Care of a Case of Mitral Valve Prolapse with Incomplete Closure and Antithrombotic Therapy for Atrial Fibrillation Patients undergoing MitraClip Surgery
Objective To investigate the individualized administration strategy of antithrombotic therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation who underwent MitraClip surgery for posterior mitral valve prolapse with incomplete closure. Methods The antithrombotic regimen of a patient with posterior mitral valve prolapse with incomplete closure and Mi-traClip combined with atrial fibrillation in the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from February to March 2023 was retrospectively selected, and the treatment process was described.According to the clinical symp-toms,signs and laboratory examination of the patient, the antithrombotic regimen was optimized, and rational drug use suggestions were provided for the clinic. The antithrombotic strategies for patients with atrial fibrillation who under-went MitraClip surgery with posterior mitral valve prolapse and incomplete closure were summarized.Combined with domestic and foreign guidelines, the use of drugs was summarized and clinical treatment was optimized. Results Ac-cording to the changes of liver and kidney function of patients, the dose of antithrombotic drugs should be adjusted to ensure the safety of patients. Conclusion Clinical pharmacists'participating in the treatment of patients provides sug-gestions for rational drug use,and ensures the safety of clinical drug use.
