Exploration of Chemotherapy-induced Peripheral Neuropathy and Mecha-nism of Acupuncture Intervention
Currently, the incidence of cancer is increasing day by day,and although the treatment means are con-stantly deepening, chemotherapy,as an important cornerstone of cancer treatment, still plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of tumors.A variety of chemotherapeutic drugs can cause acute and chronic peripheral nerve injury, mainly platinum and paclitaxel, peripheral nerve injury can seriously affect the quality of survival of patients and clinical treatment, and there is still no accurate and effective treatment program.A number of clinical studies have suggested that acupuncture has an ameliorative effect on chemotherapy-induced peripheral nerve injury, but its mechanism is not clear. This paper would like to discuss the mechanism of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropa-thy and acupuncture intervention from the aspects of improving oxidative stress, inhibiting neuroinflammatory re-sponse,regulating analgesic-related neurotransmitters, and regulating ion channels based on the existing studies.
