Influencing Factors and Constructing Relevant Prediction Models for the Efficacy of PRP in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective To analyze the influencing factors affecting the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma(PRP)in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)and to construct a prediction model. Methods The clinical data of 320 KOA pa-tients treated with PRP at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2019 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed as study subjects, and were divided into a good efficacy group(n=222)and a poor effi-cacy group(n=98)according to the prognosis after 1 year of treatment.Influencing factors were analyzed using logistic regression.Predictive value analysis was carried out using subject work characteristic curves. Results Age,body mass index,K-L classification, history of diabetes mellitus, and interleukin-6 level were independent risk factors affecting the outcome of PRP treatment(OR=1.210,7.193,5.391,3.411,1.056,all P<0.05).The ROC curve test results show that the model's predicted AUC is 0.951(95%CI:0.921-0.972).The individual factors(age,BMI,K-L grade, history of diabetes, and serum IL-6)have separate predicted AUCs of 0.736,0.855,0.624,0.561,and 0.794,respectively.The model's AUC is significantly higher than the individual factors'predicted's AUC(Z=7.464,4.357,10.693,13.490,6.029,all P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of PRP treatment in KOA patients was influenced by age, body mass index,K-L classification, diabetes mellitus, and interleukin-6 level, and the column-line graph model con-structed with the above indexes was verified to have a good differentiation.
