Analysis of the Risk Factors of Complicated Urinary Tract Infections in Patients with Urinary System Lithiasis
Objective To investigate the risk factors of urinary tract infection complicating patients with urinary sys-tem lithiasis. Methods The clinical data of 1 279 patients with urinary system lithiasis admitted to Huizhou Central People's Hospital from January to December 2022 were retrospectively selected and were divided into an infected group(356 cases)and an uninfected group(923 cases)according to whether or not they were complicated with urinary tract infection. The clinical data of patients in the two groups were compared, and the risk factors for complicated uri-nary tract infection were clarified using multifactorial logistic regression analysis. Results The patients in the infected group were compared with the patients in the uninfected group in terms of stone location, stone diameter, blood creati-nine,urea nitrogen, white blood cell count, urine pH,urinary tract obstruction, and hydronephrosis, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The results of multifactorial logistic regression analysis showed that upper urinary tract stones, urea nitrogen≥7.15 mmol/L,white blood cell count≥10.0×109 cells/L,urine acidity and al-kalinity≥7.0,and the combination of urinary tract obstruction and hydronephrosis were the independent risk factors for urinary tract infections complicated by urinary system lithiasis(OR=2.370,1.597,2.499,1.418,1.327,1.247,all P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with urinary system lithiasis are prone to complications of urinary tract infection, and patients with combined urinary tract obstruction, hydronephrosis, and abnormal blood and urine routine test results should be paid attention to the development of their conditions, and do a good job in the prevention of urinary tract in-fection.
