Application of Laparoscopic Transabdominal Preperitoneal Prosthesis in Adult Patients with Inguinal Incarcerated Hernia
Objective To analyze the effect of the treatment of adult patients with inguinal incarcerated hernia(IIH)by transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis(TAPP).Methods A total of ninety adult patients with IIH admitted to Ca-oxian County People's Hospital from June 2020 to May 2023 were non-randomly selected and divided into two groups according to different surgical methods. The control group(45 cases)received tension-free hernioplasty(TFH)and the study group(45 cases)received TAPP.Intraoperative blood loss, first exhaust time, discharge time, visual analogue scale(VAS)scores at different time points after surgery, and postoperative complications and recurrence were com-pared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss of the study group was less than that of the con-trol group, and the first exhaust time and hospital stay were shorter than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After operation,VAS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the study group(2.22%)was lower than that of the control group(17.78%),and the difference was statistically significant(X2=4.444,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with open TFH,TAPP treatment for adult patients with IIH can reduce intraoperative blood loss, reduce the risk of compli-cations,and promote postoperative rehabilitation.
